The City of Union office will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2017 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. The office will open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. There will not be any delays in trash service.

Free city income tax help will be available on Thursday, March 16, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and
Saturday, April 1, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In addition, help is available in other cities as shown and Union residents can go to other cities listed if the time is more convenient.
Congratulations to this year’s holiday lighting winners. On Tuesday, December 13, members of the Park Board drove through town and enjoyed seeing all the beautifully decorated homes within the City of Union.
These twenty homes were chosen as their favorites. Thanks to everyone who has been recognized on the following list and thanks to all the citizens who take the time and effort to decorate their homes for the holidays.

Union now has the capability of emailing residents/property owners their utility bill. The bill would be emailed directly to your in-box and will include all the information that has always appeared on your utility bill. Plans are to start this with the utility bill that will be sent out on November 30 but residents/property owners can sign up at any time. Please fill out the following form and drop off at Union City Hall.
Union has received the 2016 water and sewer rate survey. Union is the lowest out of over sixty communities in combined water and sewer rates. Please see the entire survey below.

Effective October 1, 2015, the City of Vandalia will no longer be handling City of Union income tax. It will now be handled by Central Collection Agency. They are currently notifying Union residents and information was also included in the summer City of Union newsletter. Please find both a copy of the letter and information included in the newsletter.
