Assistant Chief Chris Snider - Retired

imageFire & Rescue Assistant Chief Chris Snider is a Firefighter Level-II /Paramedic with 25-plus years in Public Safety.

Assistant Chief Snider started his career in 1983 with the Trotwood Rescue Unit. He served 18 consecutive years, witnessing the evolution of the departments due to community mergers, from Madison Township Fire, to the Trotwood Division of Fire and finally to Trotwood Fire & Rescue. He has served the Union Fire & Rescue Department since his family relocated to the Union area in 2001.

Assistant Chief Snider is an active Fire & Rescue educator: He is an EMS Special Topics Instructor, Assistant Fire Instructor, ASHI CPR and BLS Instructor, and teaches Auto Extrication classes around the state, including coursework at Bowling Green State University State Fire School. Assistant Chief Snider graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He has a full-time career as a Facility Engineer and is a Certified Facility Manager. Assistant Chief Snider is married and has three sons.

Assistant Chief Snider retired from the fire service after 34 years, 16 of which with the City of Union Fire Department. His hard work and dedication to the City of Union will be greatly missed!
