The Union Fire & Rescue Department is a combination part-time/paid-on-call department operating from one station with two advanced life support medics (ambulances), one seven-man engine/tanker, and one four-man engine. All members are cross-trained to a minimum of Emergency Medical Technician - Basic and Firefighter Level I.

Our station, known as Station 81, located on Martindale Road in the center of Union, is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a minimum of three firefighter/EMTs. Our in-house crew responds to both medic and fire calls. Additional responses are supplemented by paid-on-call personnel and mutual-aid agreements with neighboring communities.

In addition to emergency services, the Union Fire Department provides several non-emergency services, including:

  • Home Safety Inspections
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • CPR, First-Aid, and Babysitter Training
  • Fire Safety Demonstrations
  • Smoke Detector Battery Changing Assistance

If you would like information about any of these services, please call Chief Mike Blackwell at 937-836-8624.
